amsterplanning pt. 1

ya girl is going to amsterdam.

Along with my friends Marta and Andrea. They're both from Canada- turns out all my best friends here are anglophones- we should really branch out.

But they're awesome and I'm super excited to go to Amsterdam with them, I've never been before and we've got a killer itinerary. I don't want to spoil all the details just yet, but just know that in a few weeks the Netherlands will be gracing this blog with pictures and stories.

I'm really happy about the friends I've made here so far, there are so many intersting and kind people studying here. As I'm typing this Andrea is speaking rapid spanish with another student that lives in the building (she's Canadian but was born in Peru so she's trilingual and totally kickass). So many of my friends here come from such intersting backgrounds, with multiple languages under their belts and a desire to see the world. Sitting in the community kitchen in our building, in the midst of planning an adventure, sharing food and coffee, this is my new happy place. I can't wait to see where this year takes us.
